I wanted to thank Giving Back Outdoors, the Iowa DNR, and ALL that helped make an absolutely AMAZING experience. I was invited by an Army buddy to take part in the Disabled Veterans Hunt in Iowa. I have never had the opportunity to hunt, but have always wanted to learn how, so I jumped at the opportunity. I had no idea what to expect, but everyone was so welcoming, patient, friendly and considerate. I asked a billion questions and never once was made to feel it was too much. This was so much more than just a hunt. Being a disabled combat veteran, I suffer from PTSD, severe anxiety and also chronic pain from an injury. This experience was healing for my mind and soul and helped to build my confidence. I cannot thank everyone enough for this absolutely amazing opportunity and experience!
